Mainland access
An easy access road, which by-passes downtown Trieste, is available to normal and tank trucks. The nearest highway access is only at 500mt from the company. ALDER’s has automatic loading bays for tank cars and an automatic printing weighing bridge is used for road transport.
Sea access
ALDER’s pier, safe in any weather, is situated at the southern shore of the canal of Trieste’s industrial zone, thirty meters away from ALDER’s tank farm. Tanker ships up to 180 meters long with a maximum draught of 8 meters, may be berthed there. Improvements of the pier, to enable it to accept bigger tankers, are presently planned. According to the Trieste harbour authorities rules, normal tanker ships, except for the smallest sizes, must tie up at and leave the pier only in daylight hours.
